| Not really, but almost! |
Our upcoming Fall Adventure began with an invitation to a
family wedding in Texas. We decided that, since we had always wanted to take a
road trip, we would incorporate the celebration in the Lone Star State into a
massive excursion by car. Three days
from now, we will be on our way. Preparations have been underway for what seems
like forever. Are we ready? Well, sort of. My husband is kind of a
by-the-seat-of-your-pants traveler. (Can
you say, “No plan”?) I am more of a detailed organizer. (Did I hear “Neurotic”?) Case in point: I am adding destinations to our itinerary and my husband is playing Solitaire on his laptop! So this has been
an interesting process. On the way to the wedding and on the return trip, we
will be visiting about 20 cities. Routes to follow; maps; places to stay; reservations;
things to see; clothes for all occasions; laptops; I-pad; cell phones;
chargers; Wi-Fi device; cooler for snacks; St. Christopher medal (just to be on the safe side); etc.; etc.…for five weeks! Wish us luck.
